A Mother's Love

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local 70-year-old great-grandmother is spending a night in Duval County Jail.

“I stand by my actions 100 percent. I am not sorry that I made them take me out of there in handcuffs,” explains Lynn Savage.

Savage had refused to leave her daughter Amber while she was recovering from brain surgery at UF Health North.

  1. Tell me again how a virus can tell time??? Mom was OK before 7PM but HAD to leave after? I can see restricting NEW visitors after hours but Lynn had been there the whole damn day and (per the report) was an IMPORTANT part of her daughter's care.

The Charge Nurse for the unit needs to be taken out and beaten, she could have shut that bullshit down in a second.

  2. Saw this last night on Hannity or Tucker. Those hospital admins, cops and nurses need to be beaten with clubs. Maybe then they'll wake up.

  3. Really feeling this sentence should be dismissed or a 'time served' situation.

  4. Lock her up, any person unwilling to obey orders has no right to participate in a free society.

    1. Did you take time off from serving orders of fries just to write that?

    2. Seriously??? Do you not see the disconnect between “obey orders” and “free society”, unknown??? Methinks that serving fries is the max for your IQ!

  5. Complete fucking clown world out there, and this grandmother shows everyone how it's done. Damn good for her.

  6. Shame on every one of those officious bastards who have used Covid as an excuse for their barbaric behaviour. There are so many people who have revealed their true colours and shown what disgusting excuses for human beings that they really are. Will there be a day of reckoning when it's all over? It would be nice to think so.

  7. Good for her. I hope that’s what any parent would do.

  8. If Ms. Lynn Savage, the mother, were of a different race, there never would have been any question. As is, under the circumstances, the nurses, the hospital, and the LEOs show up not just badly, but as lacking any intelligence under this particular situation.

  9. Dang right it was important for her to leave at 7:00 PM. The Chinaflu only infects people after randomly imposed curfews. 7pm at this hospital. 10 PM in bars and restaurants.

And the cop took her to jail. Don't think they won't come to take your guns.

  10. So apparently the hospital had negotiations with the china virus, and it agreed not to manifest and become wildly infective until after 7p.m. This is another perfect example of why no one trusts anything. Hospital clearly using this to make life easier for them by limiting visitor access. There can be (and always has been) room for exceptions to visiting hours, even in the ICU settings. It would seem that the hospital's negotiations with the virus did not include extenuating circumstances for visitors. Just get out by 7p or the pestilence will run wild. Geniuses.

  11. The hospital management should have let her stay. My opinion of the security and police directly involved is pretty poor.

Don't any of these people have a heart?

  12. I am going to assume this honorable woman has at least one son that would be willing to provide a bit of payback to everyone that laid hand on her.
