I am not opposed to electric cars, although I wish they made a little noise. However, there are so many that have no clue fossil fuel somewhere is charging their cars. No fuckin clue. They think electricity is some how miraculously generated in the lil box that charges their car.
It is called 'NIMBY power', Not In My Back Yard, where the electricity consumed is generated far away from the lefty elite so that they don't have to put up with the smell of the emissions or the smell of the poor living near the power plant.
Not to mention the tires, plastics in the bumper and dash, nylon and rayon in the seats and overhead coverings. Of course we can't forget about the mined minerals that are in the charging system of both in the car and the exterior charging station. This is just a short list but it gets the point across. JD
Here in the upstate of SC, they just opened up a car charging station in Fairplay, SC at exit 4 on I-85, just above the SC/GA line that has 12 Tesla charging stations lined up. Their power comes from the Oconee Nuclear Power Plant.
To paraphrase, you may not have anything against EV's but they have it in for you! It's not just that the whole EV scam is being financed by huge government subsidies that are coming out of the pocket of every person that pays taxes, it's that the Western governments are grimly determined to phase out all IC vehicles within ten years. You want a choice, you don't get a choice. The fact that the power grid can't support the wholesale charging of an entire nation of EV's means that it isn't intending to support the wholesale charging of an entire nation of replacement vehicles for everybody. Certainly not for the Deplorables.
Any politician that pushes for EV's and eliminating carbon fuels and doesn't support building new Nuclear power plants as fast as we can build them is really for all of us freezing to death in the dark and walking if we want to go anywhere.
And the morons will look at it, spilling out noise, unmistakably fossil fuel generating electricity, and STILL think they are saving the planet and the entire human race. For what I have no E-ffing clue, recent events have proven beyond a doubt the human race is not worth saving.
