So much for a nice relaxing haircut

NEW YORK - A man was sitting in a barber's chair getting a haircut in the Bronx when he was shot twice by two assailants, according to police.

Authorities say the 22-year-old male victim was sitting in the chair on Friday when two masked gunmen entered the barbershop located on East Gun Hill Road in the Norwood section. One of the men pulled a handgun and shot the victim, hitting him in the stomach and sending the victim falling to the floor.

  1. Guess they don't watch Westerns in the Bronx.
You ALWAYS keep your pistol in your hand under the apron when getting a trim.

  3. It's an old NYC tradition. Good enough for Albert Anastasia, good enough for him.

    1. I remember from back in the '60s, the cover art for a Pulp novel titled "Hoodlums" showed almost the exact same scene, only the victim and killers were white.

  6. Surprised to see that barbers are still offering the "Albert Anastasia Special." I thought that went out of style in the late '50s.
