Thank you, Joe Biden

The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline jumped 6 cents over the past two weeks, to $3.31 per gallon.

That’s $1.07 more than a year ago.

*****

It went from $2.85 to $2.98 a gallon overnight here in Lafayette.

  1. It won't be long and you'll have to fill up your car in stages so that you can stay below $600 per payment. You don't want the IRS to start asking questions as to what you need the fuel for.

    1. Same here in Western NC, Sabre. And the supermarket shelves are beginning to look like the top of my 79 year old head....sparse.

O/T I'm having a refer serviceman come to check out my dead 3 year old LG under warranty today. I'm kinda wondering how far offshore my damn parts are.

    1. Good luck, I hope the repair does not cost more than it is worth.
Had a friend with a refrigerator that was only a few years old (>5) and it needed a system board or similar; parts and labor was more than the value of the unit.

    2. Full warrantee for five years. Free to me. It's so well known with LG (Life's Good, Motherfucker!" that they had the parts onboard. My old Samsung beer fridge, and my 25 y/o GE ya can't kill.

  5. Ranging from $2.97 to $3.19 here in central New England. Year ago $2.09 to $2.19.

At the grocery store, no shortages apparent. However, I was looking for yeast last week. They used to sell 4oz and 8oz jars. Now, only 4oz for the 8oz price. A couple weeks ago I was looking for salsa. They discontinued the fresh brand I've been buying for 20 years, 24oz package for $2.50. they replaced the old brand with a different fresh brand, 16oz for $2.50. I did get a good buy on choice petite sirloin last week, $7.99/lb, normally upwards of $11.00/lb. The only thing I didn't find was Bumblebee Skinless/Boneless Sardines. None to be had.

  7. I've been pasting those "I did that" stickers featuring China Joe's image on fuel pumps wherever I go. I started putting them on any of roadside signs featuring running children too. It's easy to create an image and print it on some stick-on Avery labels right at home. Mockery is a good tactic the left uses, give it back.

  8. If you live in rural Merka and have the ability to do so, store an extra 100 gal if possible, it's gonna get way more expensive, and scarce. Thats their plan. Bank on it.

  9. Regular is $2.44 a litre here. That's about $9.25 a US gallon. It's been going up steadily ever since Biden was inaugurated (the bastard is hurting other countries with his policies too).

  10. Here in the UK, it's near £1.40 per litre! Don't know how many litres per US Gallon, but when I started driving, it was £0.30 per (UK) gallon. Increase of almost 24x (in 50 years) almost entirely due to socialist govt policies. And now we have a govt in thrll to the greenies, so who knows where it will go next

    1. 3.8L per US Gallon (vs 4.2L per Imperial Gallon) and the current exchange is £1 per $1.36, so that’s $7.24 per US gallon. Ouch.
