    Is it ok to pull the bag of wine out of the box and stab a straw in it like it's a giant adult Capri Sun?

      What a marvelous idea! Perhaps a piece of tygon tubing ... might work better!
      Call it the flex straw. You could moderate the flow with your teeth ... and if you place the wine box above your head, it becomes "gravity feed" like an IV drip after the initial draw. Hand's free if you do it right!
