One of the children, a 15-year-old, called the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday afternoon and told authorities that his 9-year-old brother had been dead for a year and the body was inside the apartment, the office said in a statement.

Deleteborn and raised Houstonian. after 20 years in the USN then 14 in CDC , I went back to find a festering liberal sore where my hometown used to be. there is more insane shit like this everyday. I settled in the country and rarely ever go back. saddens me all the largest cities in the country are like this...or worse
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand it was determined the nine-year old died from blunt force trauma, said trauma inflicted by the mother's boyfriend. One of the abandoned kids said the boyfriend beat their brother to death which is when they abandoned the kids. The parents have since been arrested.

I live in the area and we've been watching the story locally. From what we're gathering the man beat an autistic child to death and left the body in the apartment for a year. Neighbors had complained about the smell coming from the apartment but nobody went in to check it. And they'd abandoned the kids there from what we understand.
ReplyDeleteFrom what we understand the oldest child is the one who eventually called the police. I guess after beating one child to death they weren't concerned about retaliation.
Questioned and released? What about murder 1? Is that now a misdemeanor?
