Well, this is shocking

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Gov. Andy Beshear is drawing sharp criticism after a report detail that some criminals he let out of jail during the pandemic committed more crimes.

It says nearly half of the people commutated last April and August committed new crimes.

*****

Actually, I think the article would be more accurate if it said nearly half of the people got caught committing more crimes.
There's no telling how many committed crimes and didn't get caught.

How dare you question the decency of those fine patriots that I sprung from unjust imprisonment, sir!

  5. In brief. There was a study years ago. The three body types, ectomorphic, mesomorphic and endomorphic. Endomorphic being the big dumb kind a guy. They found more endomorphic in prison therefore endomorphic committed more crimes. Shortly after the results were published another group came forward and said, not so. Endomorphic are just dumb and get caught more often.

  6. I had to check - wow, the article actually did say "commutated".
That word, I don't think it means what you think it means.

    com·mu·tate
To reverse the direction of (an alternating electric current) each half-cycle to produce a unidirectional current.

    com·mute
To change (a penalty, debt, or payment) to a less severe one.

  7. I worked with a guy in TN out on Rona furlough. Busted with a garbage bag full of Roxies, he was doing fed time.
Very grateful for the 2nd chance, he doesn't take any chances. Didn't eveb want to hold my new pistol when I brought it to work to show everyone.
"Yeah, thats pretty, but I don't want anyone getting a picture of me holding it".
They're not all turd blossoms. This dude was a decent excavator operator, and was glad he could see his grandkids.
