MONTEVIDEO, Minn. (WCCO) — Hunting season is upon us, but for some people getting to a duck blind or a deer stand isn’t that easy. Thanks to some kind-hearted individuals, one hunter who struggles a bit more than others can now enjoy his favorite hobby without as much frustration.
“I just like the fresh air and being out with friends and family,” says Lance Tebben of Montevideo. It doesn’t matter what kind of hunting it is, Lance is all in. Born with cerebral palsy, he quickly developed a love for the outdoors.
I can't stop smiling either. That chair is righteous!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. It's nice seeing some good. Needs headlights.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this story!
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to see people getting to do things when they have to overcome obstacles. It makes me feel a bit guilty to complain when my back hurts from sleeping in the wrong position at night. The world is full of some very brave and hardy individuals, with some very kind and generous people to help them out. Outstanding, Wirecutter.
ReplyDeleteThe world is full of good people. Great story.
ReplyDeleteAction Trackchairs are f'ing awesome. And can be accessorized like a Jeep. There's even a version that will go from sitting to standing, which would be a great thing for hunters. And you can add a towhitch for a small trailer.

What a great story, and BOY ,what a fine piece of engineering that is...
ReplyDeleteLast I heard years ago those track chairs cost about 18 thousand. If I had millions there would be a lot of veterans and people like Lance with one parked in their garage with a trailor.
ReplyDeleteHi Kenny he's a great young man. Works the check out at a big box store here in Monte. Thanks for the extra press.
