  1. And I always thought the St. Pete population was all 65+ year old white retirees from NJ, NY and Conn.

    1. Ah, nope. 2/3rds of the city is a No-Go zone full of diverse Rhodes-scholar Rap Artistes wannabe gangstas. And the other 1/3 used to be old folks, but as they croak off, more muh-diversity peoples are buying out the houses.

    2. I live close by. It USED to be an elderly, nice small city kind of place. It's now a gay travel destination. I believe you have to have some additional gender name or sumfin to even be in politics, on the school board, or be a news reporter. There is no shortage of joggers either.
Raised in Rural Iowa, during the 60's. I used to live near Chicago for 30 years, had a very pleasant 20 year stint in Western KY (God's country, a stones throw from Wirecutter). Ended up here in FL. At least it's a free state and we have Desantis.
keeping things leaning right, just a tad.
Can't knock the weather. It was nice deciding whether I was going to wear a jacket on my daily put-put.

    3. Yep, it’s gone from having a Republican mayor/city council to a Democrat run city in just the 15 years I’ve been here. Today’s mayoral election wasn’t even close.
