Higher produce prices and shortages coming right up!

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Joe Biden will require essential, nonresident travelers crossing U.S. land borders, such as truck drivers, government and emergency response officials, to be fully vaccinated beginning on Jan. 22, the administration planned to announce.

  1. Won't fly, that's an attack on the Mexican truck drivers.

  2. Like Speck Psaki said, this all works towards implementation of their climate change agenda. Screw with the supply chain by adding more restrictions to people like truck drivers and keep them off the road and they don't use that nasty fossil fuel. High prices and shortages? Just collateral damage.

Not even damage; more "feature, not bug". It only impacts mundanes, not persons of quality.

  3. Once again, this is something the feds have no authority to do. Not even under the commerce clause which does NOT give the feds power to dictate aspect over anything tangentially connected to interstate commerce. They only have the authority to create a regular market - things such as preventing one state from discriminating against the goods of another or establishing regular weights and measures.

Everyone needs to tell the feds to take a flying fuck both by ignoring their decrees and shaming and mocking anyone working for the federal government.

  4. Might seem like a pain in the butt or daunting to some, but it really is amazing how much produce you can grow. Wintertime crops a little less variety but easier to grown and no weeds to fight. Been eating fresh lettuce from under the lights for months now, collards coming in the second wave after first picking, waiting on cabbages and broccoli to mature. This was a good reminder to step up the game. Every little bit counts, and fresh foods in the winter months is a real treat.

    1. You can expect the 'government' to create rules for every single thing you grow, "for your own good".
      Count on it.

    2. If growing food on your own land to feed your livestock is banned under Interstate commerce, then growing food to feed yourself can be banned as well.

    3. Perhaps, but if that comes about, growin my food will then cease to be my primary concern or mission. Reckon we will just have to see. For sure, nothing is too crazy to be possible these days.

    4. Remember when the Evil Governor of Michigan outlawed the selling of vegetable seeds about this time last year?

    5. Anonymous, remember SCOTUS has already outlawed growing your own weed, even if nothing involved has crossed state lines.

  5. So it WILL apply to illegals! He stated it will apply to "essential, nonresident travelers crossing U.S. land borders". What could be more essential to him than new demonrat voters???

  6. I know that you have to be over say 50 years of age, to have been educated about the Civil War and what really started it. But if you put your thinking cap on, it is not hard to remember just what the North was doing to the South, in order to eventually force the South to say a big FU, and secede.
Things like putting rules in place that were for the entire country, but really only hurt the agricultural south. Arresting journalists that disagreed with Lincoln. Arresting those who were vocal against the president, that were just civilians, to the tune of some 30,000. Many of those arrested were held throughout the entire war.
Now, we see nearly the exact same conditions happening. But with the nation now a homogenous mix, instead of a northern industrial group of states and a southern agriculture mix, America is mixed together with what has become almost a caste society like was found in India, with classes of lower class, middle class, and upper class. Those in the upper class dislikes the middle class, since it is them who tries to claw their way higher. So it has become the goal of forcing the middle class downward, all the while appearing to proclaim that they are attempting to draw them higher. They have become ever more effective at this, through the one thing that no one can touch. The Federal Reserve. Of course, the tax codes are a popular scapegoat. And they are written by the politicians, to benefit the politicians.
I predict that if a second civil war occurs, it will come when Joe Biden leaves office, either during his only term and replacement, or during a second election, when the Democrats attempt to steal the next one.

    1. It's trucks coming in from Mexico and Canada, not state to state.
