More than half of NYPD officers wish they never joined the force, according to a large internal survey.
An internal New York Police Department survey of nearly 6,000 officers found that 56% of NYPD cops say they wouldn't become a police officer if they had a chance to do it all over again, according to the New York Post.
There are a lot of large towns and small cities here in the south that are trying to recruit NYC/Transit cops. There are packages with sigh on bonus' and moving expenses. It is cheaper to hire a certified LEO than to send a new recruit through one of the regional training facilities. The pay is less than they currently make but the cost of living is so much less it is like getting a 15 to 20% raise.
Those cops are smart enough to know eventually they are going to be forced (by gov) to do things the liberty minded public does not want them to do. The demographic war has been lost already, in my opinion. Best thing we can do is decouple wherever and whenever we can, and participate in the fledgling, parallel society and economy. The water is fine, jump in.

ReplyDeleteATTN: NYPD - come to Florida (you’re going to retire here anyway). We respect LEO’s here in the Sunshine State.

ReplyDeleteAgree about decoupling.
DeleteDisagree about having lost the demographic war.
I need some good news. Where can I find hope regarding demographics in FUSA?
DeleteThat's easy to say after making well over $100,000 a year and many twice that. Not to mention a generous pension. Cry me a river...
ReplyDeletePlus all the mundanes you can shoot/beat, and lots of opportunities for freebies from businesses and people you arrest. Those are good perks!
