The updated lawsuit, filed Friday, included transcribed 911 audio recordings, The Texas Tribune reported. The suit alleges that law enforcement officers in San Marcos "privately laughed" and "joked about the victims and their distress" in the audio recordings.
I thought it was long settled law that the police have no duty to respond to a call claiming that a law is being broken. Law enforcement duty to protect is extended to the public in general and not to any specific individual or individuals. It will be interesting to see how this plays out however, but I think the suit should be dismissed very early on.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no. Law enforcement has no duty to protect the peasantry. Persons of quality, on the other hand, are entitled to Praetorians loyal unto death.

What a bunch of BS! Silly snowflakes scared for most likely no real reason. It also still spouts the lie that a truck hit a smaller SUV, when the video actually shows the opposite!
ReplyDeleteFuck 'em if they can't take a joke.
ReplyDeleteI now forgive the San Marcos police department for all those traffic tickets while I was commuting to the University back in the day!!!
