Likely Drone Attack On U.S. Power Grid Revealed In New Intelligence Report

U.S. officials believe that a DJI Mavic 2, a small quadcopter-type drone, with a thick copper wire attached underneath it via nylon cords was likely at the center of an attempted attack on a power substation in Pennsylvania last year. An internal U.S. government report issued last month says this is the first time such an incident has been officially assessed as a possible drone attack on energy infrastructure in the United States, but that this is likely to become more commonplace as time goes on. This is a reality The War Zone has sounded the alarm about in the past, including when we were first to report on a still-unexplained series of drone flights near the Palo Verde nuclear powerplant in Arizona in 2019.

  1. One of the biggest problems with at least the "united" state [sic] is that nooone thinks like a criminal. I've been waiting for a drone to drop grenades for years now.

  2. The Mavic 2 drone is a very small drone that a lot of YouTubers use because it gets great video. It was designed specifically to be small enough to be under the limit for FAA regulation. Regular size drones need a license in some places and in other places Uncle jams the signal so you can't fly them even if you ignore the license requirement. It probably uses a frequency that is different from the goverment jammers.

  3. 43 years building, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting power lines. Both high voltage transmission and distribution lines from coast to coast and north to south. (btw hurricanes were the biggest money maker) Anyway if the public had the slightest modicum of awareness
the current state of disrepair the U.S. transmission system is in right now the average citizen would be making a run on private generation. If you're thinking wind or solar save money and get yourself a generator capable of running your basic electrical needs. Btw 3/17/22 will be my second year of retirement. (Lovin it!)
