We just moved from the suburbs of Indianapolis to “rural” Tennessee (Westpoint) to get away from that. At least Nashville isn’t that bad, yet. Per capita, Indianapolis has more shootings anymore than Chicago does.
My experience has been where there are blacks, you will ALWAYS have problems far in excess than the problems of a white or Latino community. I avoid them like the plague and if that offends the decent blacks, and there are several million of them, tough shit. It ain't my rodeo, it's yours now and you can thank yourselves for allowing Jackson and Sharp to be your voices.
And from the looks of things, CA being the canary in the mine, it's getting much worse.
