Multiple people were injured in a shooting Tuesday at Oxford High School in suburban Detroit, authorities said.
A suspected shooter is in custody, according to Michael McCabe, undersheriff with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. A handgun was also located, he said.
Detroilet is, approximately, everything from the western shore of Lake St. Clair, as far west as US 24/Telegraph Road, north to Eight Mile Road, and south to the Rouge River and US 12/Michigan Avenue. Everything within that area is... well, imagine Hiroshima with graffiti. Imagine Haiti with snow. Imagine "Lord of the Flies" with cocaine, automatic weapons, and IQ-55 gangbangers. Look around with Google Maps Street View if you're curious. It is basically Mordor, complete with orcs.
The first thing you learn when you move to Michigan is that everyone tells you where not to go. Don't go to Detroit. Don't go to Flint. Don't go to Pontiac. Don't go to Saginaw. Farmington Hills is safe but Southfield isn't. Livonia is safe but Redford isn't. Canton is safe but Inkster isn't. Ann Arbor is safe but Ypsilanti isn't. Don't go to Taylor or Dearborn after dark. Don't go to Ecorse, Melvindale, Belle Isle, or Zug Island at all.
Oxford is an affluent suburban bedroom town in Oakland County between Detroit and Flint and generally regarded as a pretty quiet, pretty safe area. It's actually a lot closer to Pontiac than to Detroit. Pontiac is a violent, lawless Third World shithole just like Detroit, where civilization has failed.
I wonder if anyone notices that Christian schools never get shot up. It s always those scuzzy public schools. Hard to fathom why students are shooting each other and not those slutty teachers and do-nothing administrators
ALL DAY Yesterday: The MSM, "Please Lord let it be a MAGA White Guy, Please Lord let the perp be a MAGA White guy, Please Lord Let it be a MAGA White guy..." Today: MSM - "SH*T... quick find something else to talk about..."
White kid. Pretty fucked up stuff that he posted. School seems to have had multiple warnings but took no action. Some kids “heard” something was going to happen and asked to stay home. Kid is 15, IIRC. WiscoDave
In 1990 a law was passed effectively prohibiting the adults in a school from protecting the children; the Gun Free School Zones act. After that the school shootings started, but the act was not rescinded. (One wonders if that was intentional, for political reasons. After all, it was then just a matter of waiting for the occasional nutcase.) How about starting the school day with a prayer? If it saves only one life...
ya gotta love those blue cities. never a dull moment
ReplyDeleteAnd, he's black.....
ReplyDeleteDetroit - no surprise there. We'll never hear of this again after tomorrow.

And I would not be surprised if there weren't previous red flags and why weren't the parent(s) aware this kid had firearms?

DeleteOxford is about 40 miles north of detroit, as far as I can tell not near any other vibrant community.
ReplyDeleteAnywhere south of the bridge, and a few reserved areas north of it, are vibrant communities. ¿Si?
