Yes indeed, that is one good cow horse. The most useful horse in the country. A good cow horse can pretty much do anything you need done. Just as valuable as a good cow dog.
That's not a good horse, that's a great cow pony. There's a difference. And just like a great cow dog, you don't train them to do something like that, they just know. That's what makes them great.
I once had an old cowboy tell me that he never put his horses in the same pasture as the cows.....he didn't want the horses to start liking the cows or thinking they were all part of the same herd.
