It's pretty obvious that she was more concerned with the fact she's on TV than getting the ball where it was supposed to go. From what I've read, that's actually a concern that girls especially often have - so concerned with looking like they're running that they don't run very well at all, for instance. It's been cited as one of the reasons for the achievement gap, even.

8 - putting out candles is easy mode; come back when they can *light* them.
(I have an idea that might work, using a sword, to extinguish the flame with one stroke and relight with a second, but I'd have to find a good sword-fumbler to try it. (Gimmick involved a non-safety match.))
