American Airlines canceled another 634 flights on Sunday, nearly one in every four of its flights for the day, according to data from flight tracking website FlightAware.
The airline has now canceled more than 1,500 flights since Friday, as it deals with weather issues and staffing shortages that started last week.
Here's a radar shot of Sunday's weather from Ventusky.com:
The article claims high winds around Dallas, but this same site shows wind speeds of 5 mph with gusts up to 13 mph on Saturday and Sunday.
The government says workers must be jabbed. The workers say operate without workers
ReplyDeleteYup! It's not just the pilots, I'm sure there's plenty of "ground crew" that are "calling off"! Screw the bosses of these "mandates"! Turn their companies into "steaming piles of dung"! I salute everyone of these fine folks who have "gone Galt", screw 'em!
DeleteThe news will not tell you. Fecesebook will not tell you.
ReplyDeleteBut if you're paying attention, you know that the walkouts over notVaxx mandates ARE WORKING!
My son flew SWA out of Dallas Friday, flew back this morning. Wind gusts, rriiiiiiiight.
ReplyDeleteThey had to use the SWA excuse. Too stupid to think up an original one.
ReplyDeleteThe historical weather data (METAR) from DFW via Flightaware.com shows a max of 10 knots from Friday thru Sunday morning. That’s about 12 MPH or so. I’d fly my ultralight in winds stronger than that. Weather, my achin’ ass.
ReplyDeleteSaturday and Sunday were beautiful weather here in DFW. Gusty winds last week, but not over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime South West has announced an "investigation" (read manhunt) for the cheeky pilot who ended his flight announcement with "Let's go Brandon" which triggered some lefty Karen, pretend journalist, who breathlessly reported multiple gasps from other passengers, to complain to SW headquarters.
ReplyDeleteOh, the humanity.
