What the hell is wrong with people like this?

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A 17-year-old boy is accused of arming himself with a katana-style sword and killing his family’s dog over the weekend before hiding the animal’s body in woods behind the family’s home, according to WFTV.

  1. Clearly not the kid's first time. I'd put money on parental (or step-parental) abuse of some sort. Of course, I've lost a lot of money on wagers like that, so...

  2. We've always had evil, it just seems to walk more openly and brazenly than in the past. I don't expect it to get better until after Christ returns. Beans, bullets and bibles, we're gonna be needing and using them all soon.

    1. Torpid,
You have written what is so very true, but so many people often miss. We often seem to think that the wickedness of this age is somehow a new thing, that has all of a sudden appeared. Not true, it has always been around, growing up we always heard of the abduction and rape and murder of young women or children. Even in my tiny village in Michigan, we had a young college freshman woman who was abducted and raped and murdered on her campus at a small college not even 50 miles from our town.
The difference now is that we have the well known 24/7 cable news cycle that has to fill the void with news, any news, and so the sensational rape and murder, or the teen psychopath who starts out with animal torture, and then as he or she ages, moves on to the human targets.
When I was young, being born in 1960, we all know the stories of the peeping Tom, or the guy with the bag of candy who tried to lure the young boy or girl into his van, with who knows what motive. It seems like those stories were sanitized, and were in fact, much more graphic than young children were told, and often ended in rape and murder of the young child. Of course, I suspect that most of these incidents happened in larger cities, with the anonymity that can come with the crowds.
As for your pointing out the facts about Christ and our need to be prepared to defend ourselves, both physically and spiritually, until His return, as a Bible believing Christian, we are siblings, with the same Father. And I hope that you hope for His swift return, as do I. While we do wait, it is important that we not only protect our own, but work to make disciples, and part of that in my humble opinion involves doing whatever we can to make America more amenable to those who wish to follow Christ. Because right now, we are being discriminated against, both by the left, and by the government itself.
May America return to it's original roots, where each person is free to practice the religion of their own choosing, or free to choose no religion or deity at all, without fear of government interference, whether overtly, or covertly, which is in some ways, even worse. Prayers are always said for this nation, and I invite anyone who wants to do so, to join me. That includes praying for both those we like and those we don't like. So at the top of my prayer list I pray for Joe Biden and his administration. I believe that we are instructed to do so, in the Bible, and that our nation will be much better if we raise our leaders up to God, who can change even the hardest of hearts.

    2. I agree with you.

In my opinion, the peak of our American civilization was the landing of Apollo 17 on the moon in December 1972. That was the very last manned moon mission and I watched it go up. Just a few weeks later in January 1973, was the Roe-v-Wade decision. I believe that God turned his back on this nation because of that and it's been an increasing slide downward ever since.

I too pray for our leaders, both good and bad, but I also ask God's deliverance from this harsh judgement.

    3. Messed up man kills dog and people freak out. Thousands of mothers butcher their babies every day and it is just a political issue among others.
He faces severe penalties for cruelty to a mere animal, but paying someone to rip his kid limb from limb is a protected right.
No wonder so many people are off on the head.

  3. People like this always start with animals.

  4. Attention: Cruelty to or the wanton killing of animals as a child or teenager is a very strong indicator of future psychopathic behavior towards humans.
My wife worked with that "population" thru the Texas Juvenal Commission as a Therapist for several years.
If appropriate action is not taken, It's liable to be his parents and/or school antagonists next.
