Yet when, towards the end of Trump’s presidency, a radical friend of mine told me that he thought America was headed for civil war, I dismissed the argument out of hand. Why? How? It takes a unique confluence of mistakes and crises for civil war to appear possible, and an even longer list of mistakes, crises and elite screw-ups for them to happen.
But 2021 is a different world to 2015. Talk of insurrection, secession, civil conflict and civil war is no longer the chatter of the gullible and the mentally ill. It’s entering the fringes of polite society. Some support this ‘national divorce’; others are opposed to it. Others claim they would actually prefer to declare war on their recalcitrant countrymen rather than let them go their own way unmolested.
This guy is pretty slow on the uptake
ReplyDeleteAgreed. This pot started boiling in the mid-90s. Now it's on high. Oddly, the left think themselves immune from the consequences of their actions. This will not end well.
DeleteHave you noticed all the people in positions of power are the offspring of the political hellraisers, terrorists and criminals from the '60's?
DeleteThe left have been grooming them for more than perversion.
Think Chesa Boudin, for example.
The question is "Are we going to go the way of Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia?" A peaceful divorce like the Czechs would be best. But it looks more and more we will slip into the hell of 1990's Yugoslavia.
ReplyDeletePeople say we are too mixed up with blue cities in red states. But over and over during the 20th Century there were mass population transfers between countries. Again, relatively peaceful transfers beat the hell out of camps. But no matter what we will see camps, if only for the pedeo and trans brigades and traitor politicians.
Don't underestimate your enemy. Yes, BLM and ANTIFA are degenerates who barely know which way to hold a pistol. But they can still make you DRT if you let your guard down.
I would rather no conflict, but refuse to be dragged down a path not of my own choosing. The options will be provided by the action/inaction of our government.
ReplyDeleteEventually it will all be history.

I used to know a fellow who escaped from the old Yugoslavia in the early 1960s. After Tito died, he decided to return and visit family not seen in decades. Almost within a week of arriving, the hostilities commenced. There is not enough room here to detail some of his memories from his time there.
ReplyDeleteHowever, he said the situation in the United States is far more volatile than the old Yugoslavia ever was. Hearing that, I know the bloodbath will be on a Biblical scale.
Yeah, to settle all of the accumulated grievances here, it's going to be more along the lines of the Dark Ages or Hundred Years War. Sorting it all out will take quite a while.
DeleteIf this was just a question of us and us alone, I believe we could weather a peaceful divorce. However, the CCP will use the first instance of this to land troops in CA and the Pacific Northwest, so there is that to consider. In addition to which, there are an increasing number of people here-mostly on the left-who are salivating at the thought of the streets running red with the blood of anyone they despise. That will not make for a happy outcome.

DeleteThe chinese bureaucrats can throw a billion cannon-fodder at Americans... and consider it a 'win' if no chinese soldiers/sailors survive.
.
However, a navy in transit for weeks across the Pacific is an easy target for American submarines... until they run out of tactical battle-group nukes.
(WW2, thousands of Liberty ships overwhelmed the German ability to kill enough to make a difference.)
.
Fuel for the invasion?
During these late days of this global economic collapse, the chinese possess only the fuel Russians will sell them.
Why would Russians sell their resources for paper money... or worse, digital transfers, knowing the chinese can EMP global bankers back to neutral.
The chinese have the fuel, Russians hold smoking computers.

b)
Americans are in a genocide.
Northern European Heritage folk are down-range 24/7/360°... but *talk* of votes, *talk* of judges, *talk* of salvation through politicians.
.
Meanwhile, the chinese are preparing genetic-specific plagues.
How much are the trillions in Afghan minerals worth with no Afghans?
How much are the minerals and farms of Afrika worth with no Blacks©?
.
Why send a billion cannon-fodder if a few sleepers can spread plagues?
Why send a billion cannon-fodder if a few sleepers can collapse the North American electric grid... eliminating (by some estimates) >300,000,000 Americans in a few weeks, and incapacitating the remainder?
.
How would I accomplish it if I was Han, with the racist belief only Han are fit to survive, everybody else is a cockroach to be crushed?
My Dad Day:
* EMP, plus
* plagues, plus
* grid destruction, plus
* MostPopularPresidentEver at the helm, harris being harris, pelosi et al collaborating to negotiate retaining their wealth and a position in the 'new normal'.

I welcome your rebuttal.
"The chinese bureaucrats can throw a billion cannon-fodder at Americans... and consider it a 'win' if no chinese soldiers/sailors survive."
DeleteYes, they can, and then they will immediately be overrun by India, so that's probably not on the table.
Hard times create strong men
ReplyDeleteStrong men create good times
Good times create weak men
Weak men create hard times
So look at the leadership in this country Look at the " news " commentators
Look at the average guy you see in your daily lives
What do you see

"Hard times create strong men

Yep, because that's why sub-Saharan Africa is such a paradise and has the whole world cowering in fear at what they might do if they ever get annoyed. And it's why inner-city America is such a thriving and dynamic place.

DeleteYour coment to me proves my point, although I don't think you realize it.
Africa was once a great empire, Rome was once a great empire, Greece was once a great empire, Egypt was once a great empire, England, Spain and France were once great empires, America was once a great empire, although we prefer to call it a country, What do all of them have in common ? As they grew due to the hard men in their society easier times were created. The people who benefited from these hard men grew weaker, fatter, lazy, pampered, self centered and calous. Foreigners were brought in to do the work, their culture disappeared and their empire collapsed, these weak men create hard times.
Throughout history the collapse of civilizations were directly due to weak men. As we are today with our political, cultural and economic situation weak men have created hard times for each and every one of us. If you can't see this then that's on you

"Historically speaking, empires on average last for around 250 years, after which they tend to either slowly — or very, very quickly — fall apart"
ReplyDeleteSo...on average, they tend to last for longer than 250 years.
