POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida deputy fatally shot a woman who threatened him with a shovel on Thursday, authorities said.
Jessiram Hweih Rivera, 24, of Winter Haven, died after the confrontation in the unincorporated area of Polk County near Wahneta, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
My shovels are often long handle knife blades since I knock off acquired dings and burrs with an angle grinder. The "dressed" edge would cause some severe injuries, if swung at a person. The Deputy had reason to be alarmed.
Good thing he didnt use a Taser, pepper spray, or common fucking sense. Probably too fucking fat from all those free Krispy Kremes and Big Gulps to do any kind of decent maneuvering. It aint like she was Bruce Lee with a shovel. For God’s sake dont shoot her in the fucking leg, hit that girl center mass and double tap that bitch. At least he got to go home safe that night. Whew! Close call Sgt. All that training paid off. So when do the pallets fo bricks get dropped off?
Oh please. Give it a rest. As John Q Public, I'm glad this officer rid the vermin of our society. People like you defend the indefensible way too much. Nothing like some "old school" police actions. A couple hundred more of these a year, then maybe the riff raff will get the message. If not, I'm ok with them being culled in this manner.

Never heard of a cop fatality that didn't have it coming or the person didn't put themselves in a position of having it coming to them.
