Panic-stricken residents have also come under attack and say the acts of animal violence have been carried out 'in revenge' after a pack of dogs killed one of the monkeys' infants.
The horrific incidents have been reported in the villages of Majalgaon, where 250 dogs are said to have been killed by rampaging primates, and nearby Lavul in Maharashtra’s Beed district.

Damn, it sounds like they're the ROK troops of the monkey world - "Fuck with us and we'll level your entire village."
"Anybody know what size shot is best for monkeys?"
ReplyDeleteAsk Fauci 😈
Oh man... that's hotter than ten Mexicans in an ICE bus! Thanks for the laugh, seriously. I'm down in the mouth tonight, and comments like yours cheer me right up.
DeletePick them off with a .22.
ReplyDeletePick them off with a .22.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what monkey meat tastes like?
ReplyDeleteEbola.
Delete.22 head shots
ReplyDeleteI hate those tree rats.

I'd go with #4 unless the were way out there, then #2
ReplyDelete12GA #4 Buck out of a full or modified tube, just to be sure. ;-)) Nemo
ReplyDeleteSend them to d.c.
ReplyDeleteDC already has too many!
ReplyDelete#4 Turkey loads. If you didn't stop em with two of those the third shot would be bb's.
ReplyDeleteCan't speak for monkeys but it seems that #1 Buck (pardon the pun) is just the ticket for the North American Pavement Ape. Might work for Baboons also.
ReplyDeleteNorth American Pavement Ape? I laughed out loud!
DeleteThanks. I needed a laugh tonight, and I'm stealing the line.
#4 shot or .22 mag ought to do it.
ReplyDelete.410 ought to work too.
ReplyDelete#1 Buck.
ReplyDelete#3 buck would do wonders and if the run in pack you could get a couple per shot.
ReplyDelete22 with a Ruger 10/22 and a 25 round magazine would also be good choice. CCI mini mags for the bullet.
Yep. Lots of fun target practicing. I hate monkeys.
DeleteI'd go with lead BB shot.
ReplyDeleteMonkey's are tough skinned. Another vote for 22LR.
ReplyDeleteBTW: I live a half mile from the Emory Yerkey's primate research center. Emory infects gibbons with every thing possible to try different test on them. I am aware of 4 escapes in the past 25 years. I keep a 10-22 that has a dialed in scope handy if I see a gibbon.
Peter Capstick wrote an article years back on dealing with a baboon clan that got too violent. His weapon for that was a MAC-10. Considering they are dealing with a clan and not one or two rascals, I'd opt for the MAC-10 or some other high rate of fire full auto. At the very least, an American Arms AR-180. 177 rounds is a lot of community improvement. Other options would be a FN P90 in 5.7 or a Lercker in.25 ACP if distance is a consideration where you want to keep it close.
ReplyDeleteHow big is the pack of monkeys you're going to deal with when you shoot one? They're already taking dogs up into the trees and dropping them.
ReplyDeleteWhat will a bunch reduce a human to?
Might want to have more than one 25 rounder on a 10/22.
22lr seems more cost effective. Ohio Guy
ReplyDeleteHere in Sunny South Africa we use mostly use .223/.22 Hornet on Vervet Monkeys and something more suited to long range like a .308 for baboon which are much smarter and keep their distance where they have culling pressure.
ReplyDeleteMac
Get better dogs
