ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. - A Massachusetts man recovering from open-heart surgery won $1 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket given to him in a "get well soon" card, lotto officials said.
It's a sure thing that the hospital, doctors and any insurers involved will factor in this windfall when the bills start dropping. He should have kept his yap shut and taken the payoff to a trust that did not have his name as part of it.
