A large explosion was reported at an Exxon/Mobile refinery in Baytown, Texas after what local sheriff’s deputies called “a major industrial accident.”
At least four people were injured, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. One victim was in critical condition but stable, the other three were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Yeah, more than likely accident. I work down the road from it. Every chemical plant and refinery in the area is running extremely short handed. Overtime is thru the roof and people are exhausted. Maintenance is delayed and corners cut. Meanwhile management is bragging about record profits then telling us times are rough for pay raises.
It could also be thst the bigger companies get away with shiylt the little ones would be shut down for.
Years back i interviewed for a job with a major producer. Toured the facility and saw half a dozen things that i didn't like. The guy told me they get an engineer to sign off on it and the regulator ignores it.
I stayed with the smaller company knowing it had less time bombs waiting to kill me.
Isn't it amazing how when the price of fuel starts to drop they always seem to have an "accident" at a refinery or two......It's almost like it was planned.
Gas prices gonna jump another 10-30 cents again.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet there'll be "spot shortages" resulting in a hysterical panic too.
DeleteThanks for the heads up, Sir.

"Accident?" Sure, sure. And Epstein hung himself.

ReplyDeleteIt's like they do it for training for the fire crews.
