I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this was a union job and the employees were given the job due to seniority instead of ability or qualifications.
Then there is the possibility that the two losers were given their plum jobs because they're related to dickhead New York City politicians or bureaucrats.
ReplyDeleteDo I score extra Brownie points for properly using there, their and they're in one sentence?
Elmo, congratulations on finding the right response. (See, Elmo and finding?) A few years back a so-called news story used "they" three times in referring to three different people.
DeleteUnion workers in a beauracratic utopia. No accountability, just money.
ReplyDeleteGovt. waste, ended. Why does a bus and subway agency need a boat at all? Nobody in MTA will care, it's not their money that was lost.
ReplyDeleteThe boat captain had experience in Jamaica? Probably from stealing boat parts. At least now I don't have to guess the race.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck did they expect?? "Perfect Storm"?? No way jose, I seen what that boat did in the movie.... ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, ya see.....
ReplyDeletethat bit about no one held responsible kinda sticks in my craw just a bit.
Give me about 3 days with their records and some coffee and I bet I can come up with quite a few to be held responsible.
Hell, I'll buy my own coffee!
Don't ever fly on the MTA airplane, just a suggestion.
