Nashville Health Department Apologizes for Calling Kyle Rittenhouse Verdict an Injustice

Metro Nashville Health Department (MPHD) staff on Wednesday apologized for Director of Health Equity Stephanie Kang calling the not guilty verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial an injustice.

Last week, Kang in an email to MPHD employees, described Rittenhouse as “a young white man who shot and killed two people and wounded one other.”

On Wednesday a source said MPHD officials relayed their apology via email. The source read a portion of the MPHD’s apology to The Tennessee Star.

  1. 'Health Equity'.
Does that mean that for every sick person someone else should be made sick too?

    1. Thats my understanding. If I'm sick you have to be sick too. Equity.

What kills me is it sounded so backhanded. We're sorry about our language but we do not believe he ahould have been able to defwnd himself. But we don't want to cause divisions between peoplw but we really do.

Such crap and doublespeak. And no one calls them on the bull.

  2. The MPHD has no business commenting on this issue. The Dept head should be severly disiplined for sticking his/her nose where it doesn't belong.

  3. What the frick is a city department doing with a Director of Health Equity position?

It's a utter waste of taxpayer dollars and that position should be dissolved forthwith and the snowflake fired.

  7. So....did she apologize, or did she weasel her way into getting the department to apologize for her? Sounds like she needs a little time to reflect.

  8. If she really wants to decry injustice she can start with the Arbery verdict.
