The Media’s Color-Coded Parenting Standard

On April 19, 2021, McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski suggested in a text to Chicago’s mayor that the parents of two children recently killed in Chicago’s gang activity had “failed those kids.” Kempczinski’s text became public in November 2021, prompting widespread accusations of racism and calls for his resignation. Kempczinski confessed to his white privilege and apologized profusely for holding parents responsible for the fate of their children.

  1. Part of the problem... Not responsible for their own damned kids.

  2. So, live the life of a gangster and your child is murdered in cross fire and it is "victim shaming" to point out that the child would probably still be alive if her father was not a gangster. And by "gangster" I don't mean 'the Mafia' that has strict rules that children are a mobile safe zone' as in you don't murder the wife and kids but rather "gangster" savage street gangs that will fire 45 rounds into a car and only manage to wound the target but murder a child.

BUT, to explain the rash of flash mob smash and grab robberies- mayor Lightfoot has no problem placing the blame of the store owner. That is not "victim blaming". That is just desperately trying to shift blame from your failed policies. But when you have a MSM willing to cover incompetence the sky is the limit as to what you can get away with.

    1. Gangster -- much like another word, there's a big, big, big difference between saying it with an "a" at then end as opposed to a hard "er".

  3. You can't criticize "The Amish" or their culture, the media will cover for them no matter what.
