DeSantis: "Hey, fuck that guy"

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a once-loyal member of Donald Trump's court, is refusing to bend a knee to the former president and says backing him in the 2024 election 'is too much to ask' after Trump publicly attacked his character, according to a report.

Trump reportedly said the popular governor has 'no personal charisma' and a 'dull personality' as rumors swirl the ex-president is angry DeSantis hasn't declined to challenge him for the GOP presidential nomination.

  1. Always impressive how Republicans can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. There are a number of highly qualified Republicans that would make an excellent president. I hope they don't decide to mortally wound each other in the primary.

  2. Ignore it; democrat smoke and mirrors.

    1. Absolutely correct: anonymous sources, backbiting rumors. This is Dems and their Media whores attempting to stir dissension on the Republican side. Don't play

  3. Trump had his chance. He had the people behind him. He failed to do the job he was sent to do. Couldn't (or wouldn't?) pull the trigger.

    1. Imagine if DT had fucking SUPPORT, by either party.

"Census Bureau reported real median household income grew to $68,703 in 2019, an impressive 6.8% increase over 2018. It was the largest one-year increase going back to 1967.

It was also 45% more growth in a single year ($4,379) than Obama/Biden produced in their entire 8 years in office ($3,021).

Throughout Trump’s first 3 years, the overall growth was 6.8% and real median income grew an even greater 7.9% for Blacks, 7.1% for Hispanics and 10.6% for Asians. All record high income levels.

Trump’s tax cuts: As incomes grew poverty fell to a 60 year low, lifting 4.1 million people out of poverty = the largest decrease since 1966.

In Obama/Biden era, the number of people living in poverty increased by 787,000.

During just 3 years of Trump policies - minority groups experienced the largest improvements. While the overall poverty rate declined 1.3%, Black poverty fell by 2.0%, Hispanic poverty by 1.8%, Asian poverty 2.8% an all-time record low for every race and ethnic group in 2019.”

The best family welfare program truly is - a job."

    2. Anon 4:38 pm - Notsofastguido (as Aesop often writes ...). Trump is a wildcard and true didn't put Hillary behind bars, but he still has more trust than many Repubs who won't go where Trump dares to go. Brass balls that guy - why do both parties want to keep him out of office.

Every politician is a member of THE party and the degree they will go will not cross the line because they want to stay in power. Trump is a finger in the eye. Not perfect but name someone else who would do better.

Aggie below - good call. Verify everything before you commit.

    3. Hey chillhill be careful putting out facts, there's a group here that likes to piss and moan instead of looking at results.
Obviously they believe that the president can act in a vacuum and that what the POS senators and house of representatives they elect will just go along with the MAGA agenda. Perfect example is that POS Crenshaw, looked great on paper huh but what has he done for the people ?
We didn't get into this shit hole in 4 years, more like 65, but they believe 1 man can fix it overnight. Clowns...
Trump has his issues and I also have problems with him, he was not my first choice in 2016, but he is human, not some borg creature. SMH and people wonder why this country is so fucked up

  4. After 5 years of non-stop lying and fabrication, my go-to response for any news story about Trump is to wonder how it can be verified. This sounds like typical complete BS and would remain in that category until I see Ron DeSantis standing in front of a microphone telling me himself, in complete sentences. Don't fall for the Trump outrage porn. It's all BS - just like it was for 5 solid years. Go by what they actually do. It's amazing how many people react to this stuff as if it were true. Same for COVID fear porn too, now that we're on the subject. Paraphrasing Poe: Believe nothing that you read or hear, and only one-half of what you see"

  6. I would love to have a Trump administration right now instead of the awful and evil Biden admin but wish Trump would quit being so quarrelsome with other conservatives as all it does is feed the left wing media. I'd be happy with DeSantis as POTUS.

  7. Trump's position on the jab is totally wrong. There is so much info out now about death and adverse reactions that Trump has to correct his take on the nittavax.

    1. Trump was (and is) also wrong about his position on red flag laws. I'd like to know what DeSantis thinks about them.
One thing I really like about him is he can make a five minute statement on a subject and he usually gets a little insulting dig at Leftists every time. Slick as a gut. There aren't too many minds sharper than his.

    3. In his most recent speech I noted he said "the vaccines don't work" and didn't take the usual credit for "warp speed".
He will need to do a helluva lot more to apologize for his involvement and he will need to vow to get to the bottom of the entire affair. If he doesn't, he won't win the primary. But I think DeSantis would be an excellent choice.

    4. In addition to the bump stock ban over a false flag operation let's not forget about the "Red Flag" legislation Trump helped get passed. Remember????? "Get the guns first.....due process later"??? As pissed as I am about that, I do realize that if Trump does get the nomination for president in the next election, it behooves us to vote for and support him. I think Trump and Desantis will patch things up if there really is anything to patch up.

I see this, I'm done. You have something to say, put yourself behind it. Otherwise, don't expect me to assign weight to verbal spew.

  10. In addition, Trump's wild-assed spending remains a big problem, as inflation did NOT begin with Bai-Den. And his 'get out of jail' thing..........I'm still confused.

But remember this: Trump was surrounded by the Deep State. He had perhaps 10 real allies in Congress (20, tops) and even fewer among those he hired/appointed. The guy never imagined how rotten, selfish, and duplicitous D.C. really is.

  11. After barack hussein o'bama and the current goofball, I question the value of an executive branch.
    .
I also see absolutely zero-zero-zero value in The Supreme Court Judges and congress-critters.
    .
Fact is, my life would improve tremendously with all those nincompoops... GONE!

  13. Trump is always and forever only for the furtherance of Trump. His egotistical platform and leadership will never benefit the country. We are at a time when there are actual good candidates out there that can lead and make a difference, Trump will only be more rolling in the mud. Forget the orange clown and promote the viable alternatives, DeSantis, Rand Paul - any of the under 60, non-Bush options will be an improvement on the senile shithead we have now.

  17. Folks, this is BS. The "Daily Mail" is a Trump hating British rag sheet about 50 steps below "The National Enquirer" for journalistic integrity.

They are basing this BS on an unfounded report by the ultra lie-beral NY Times(waster). The purpose of both of these BS articles is to split Republicans and cause discord. In other words, the lie-beral media doing what it evilly does best!!!!! Quit playing their games!!!!

DeSantis is both loyal and smart enough not to throw his future prospects away by crossing Trump. DeSantis is the future of the Republican Party, but Trump is the present. DeSantis is smart enough to know that and to play the game right!!!

  19. I have voted R all my life. However, I would vote for Tulsi Gabbard (or DeSantis). As for the rest of the R's and D's in Congress, they can all go to hell.

    1. Tulsi's platform was extremely anti-gun. She does not talk her stand on the issues that would alienate conservative voters. I don't trust that woman at all. By all reports, she has no children and never raised any children. I raised two step children and have supported a dozen foreign exchange students. Say what you will, but raising children gives you a perspective nothing else can.

  21. What always gets me about Trump, if he gets a chance to set the record straight, he just can't leave it at that....the best way to save face is to keep the bottom half shut....Trump would do well to heed that wisdom....as far as DeSantis goes, he would make a great president if he didn't allow the swamp to change him....knowing his history, I doubt he would....he's as solid as they come....

He was blocked at ERVERY TURN by deep staters and STILL accomplished the best economy in the USA ever.

He killed regulations and allowed businesses to work again.

Quick, is Don Trump a Dr.? An epidemiiologist?
NO - he had to depend on the evil corrupt fuckwits in the NIH and CDC to tell him the truth. And they lied.

He ain't the future though. I really like DeSantis. Could he be the first Italian President???

  27. "Trump reportedly said" is a method of weasel-wording where your basic uneducated journalist can wiggle out of making a false statement, because "his source" must remain anon.
