Who leaves their car unlocked in Memphis?

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was arrested after police say she stole over $9,000 in property from an unlocked Tesla at Starbucks on New Year’s Eve.

Officers responded to a theft call on the 6100 block of Poplar Avenue. The victim admitted to police that he left his Tesla Motors vehicle unlocked and went inside the Starbucks. When he returned to his vehicle, he noticed that items that were left in the vehicle were stolen.

Actually, it sounds like an insurance scam to me, kinda like when your shed gets broken into - you know, when the nice officer is taking his report your Walmart tools suddenly become Snap-On tools, your Harbor Freight generator was a nice Honda generator, that sort of thing.

  1. A $5,000 backpack? What a sucker.
There is no such thing as a 5 THOUSAND dollar backpack. Hell, you could buy your own personal Sherpa for that.

    1. I had to google the brand name. This is no ordinary backpack, at least it's not what comes to mind when I think backpack. Think fancy purse you strap to your back.

    2. Somehow it doesn't surprise me that someone who drive a Tesla and drinks starshmucks coffee, has overpriced girlyman backpacks.

    3. The only way I'd have a backpack worth $5k is if it had about $4800 in cash inside it.
