Whoa, a whopping 125 miles of range? Be still, my heart

Recreational vehicles rounded the corner into the electric era today with the unveiling of the Winnebago e-RV concept at the Florida RV SuperShow. Using a Ford Transit van as the basis of the concept, Winnebago and its powertrain partner, Lightning eMotors, swapped in an an electric motor and an 86.0-kWh battery pack.

  1. And if you turn on a light and use the microwave, it's only good for 75 miles.

  2. When you're camping on the streets of San Franshitsco because you can't afford $2mil for a parking spot, this will be perfect...

  3. “Up to”
If you run the AC or nuke a burrito I bet it’ll be dead after an hour driving.

  4. Maybe with an on board generator, running on gasoline, constantly charging the batteries you'll be able to make it out of town, maybe not

  5. You might be able to make it from one rest area to the next on the interstate. If you get several hundred yards of extension cords, you can plug it in and camp for the day.
Then move on to the next rest area the following day after it is recharged.
