‘You Should Hold Yourself To A Higher Standard’

STOCKTON (CBS13) — San Joaquin County Judge Michael Mulvihill was arrested on New Years Day on DUI charges after he crashed his SUV in Stockton.

*****

Back in 1982, right when California increased the penalties, I was arrested for DUI. I'll admit it, I was seriously fucked up.
When I went to court, I received a lecture from the judge about how I was a danger to Mom, Apple Pie, the American Way of Life and society in general before he gave me 2 days in jail, a $750 fine, and SIX months of a DUI class, three nights a week.
A few years later, that very same judge was busted for DUI with his BAC just one point lower than mine and was allowed to plead it down to a wet reckless.
I got the last laugh though - that bastard died of cancer a few years after his arrest.

  2. One of my life's goals has been to outlive the people for which I had no respect and that I felt had no redeeming human qualities.
So far I'm doing pretty good. I think I've only got one or two more assholes to outlive.

    1. I still read the Modesto Bee's obituaries on a weekly basis looking for motherfuckers I hate. They're getting rarer and rarer. Heh.

    2. Same here. I am working on a couple of dance numbers that I plan to use just prior to "watering the grass."

  3. A judge in my area had received two DUIs within a couple of years. His 3rd DUI wasn't long after his 2nd. His 3rd was the result after he had crashed his car and was found passed out at the wheel ... in the middle of the day. His crash was a few hundred feet past where he stuck and killed a young girl riding her bicycle.

That judge received a couple of years probation. Also, he was allowed to continue to serve as judge but limited to cases which didn't involve alcohol. Some animals are more equal.

    1. Rick - with today's cancel culture phenomenon "cancelling" people right and left, this sickening story of a JUDGE who KILLED a little girl while drunk then was able to retain his job is a PERFECT candidate for cancelling.

I'd bet a twitter story would get the wrath of the Karens going and could lead to a highger order of justice being served for the little girl.

Any way you can get the story onto Twitter, especially onto someone's account that has lots of followers? I would offer to assist but got kicked off Jan 6 2020. It's worth a try to get this killer some heat.

Any of us who had the same circumstances would be in prison for life.

    2. Whatever happened to MADD, or are they only interested in fucking up the lives of everyday citizens?

  4. Travis Co. D.A.(Austin, TX) Rosemary Lehmberg was arrested and convicted for DWI. She was videotaped threatening and berating the arresting officers. Only got 45 days in jail AND KEPT HER JOB! Then Gov. Rick Perry was charged with abuse of power for withholding State funding for her "Integrity Unit" unless she resigned. I recall she spat on the officers. total pig. Prosecuted DWI cases. Of course, the local press made a meal about Perry, but overlooked her crimes. She's a Democrat in a blue-run city.
