Before Thanksgiving, John Burley, 60, was admitted into the adult day healthcare facility. There, he could no longer have his loyal companion, Boomer, by his side.
A nurse from upstate New York went above and beyond the call of duty when she adopted her patient’s dog when the rehabilitation center had to separate the pair.
I understand that there's a whole bunch of things that are not going to happen for various reasons but in my opinion if a patient is able and the pet is sociable enough then the pet should be able to go with the owner into the home. JD
