If we follow the conventional thinking even further, this will spell success for a usual cast of Republican-leaning characters in leadership and consulting roles. Karl Rove is likely already updating his fee structure. Veterans of the two Bush Administrations will send their résumés east in hopes of retaining old posts so they can steer contracts and favors back to their allies and former employers.

Commentary: In 2022, Voters Must Stand Up to America’s Uniparty Empire
If we follow the conventional political thinking, Republicans can anticipate an electoral shift during the November midterm elections and appear likely to recapture the White House in 2024. A grassroots revolt is already showing signs that the Democrats should expect to be punished for politicizing education and mismanaging COVID policy.

Love ya'll but this is a pipe dream. Humanity tends towards totalitarianism and brutality. Nations may start out free but in the end its always the tyranny of the majority (like when the reds win) or of the loudest (like when blues or the National Socialist Party won in the 1930s). Even political genocide won't fix it b/c there will always be right wing & left wing fanatics.
ReplyDeleteI hope the party "leadership" isn't counting on the usual "They have to vote for us because we aren't them." attitude of the rank and file because most of those people are openly saying that they won't come out to vote for the republicans unless McCornhole & co are gone as the leadership. This isn't going to happen due to the fact that McCornhole gave the party apparatus orders two weeks ago which basically stated that MAGA is dead in the party and so are those voters. They want them gone from the ranks and they don't give a shit if they lose every election the next three cycles to make sure that happens.
ReplyDeleteMcCornhole was told in an interview that Trump has a list of candidates for the primaries this year and ole Mitch replied, "That's nice. I have my own list of candidates and his are going to lose, I'll make sure of it." I've come to despise the republican "leadership" more so as of late than the opposition. We know why the opposition does what it does, they're ranks are filled with self-loathing failures, most of whom have psychological and emotional problems who can't get a real job, or contribute anything to society at large and they know it.
Turns out that Mitch and his crew are even worse and they have been all along. You only have one round left in the chamber, who gets it?
I think most people (myself included) voted for DJT for 2 reasons: He was NOT a politician and he was NOT a democrat. Both parties are bad but one party is pure evil.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Trump won IN SPITE of the Republican "leadership."
DeleteToo many people vote for their red or blue team. Too few vote against incumbents no matter which side they pretend to represent.
ReplyDeleteI ain't voting anymore. It's a pointless waste of time. I'll go fishing.
ReplyDeleteI'll pick my candidates in the primary and vote for them. If they lose, then I'll show up to vote against the incumbent, regardless of party affiliation.
DeleteI'd like to know why anybody would think our vote will count any more in the next election than it did in 2020. Get yer heads out.
ReplyDeleteIf the republicans win and do nothing, like last time, it will put the finishing touch on the country that the democrats started under biden......maybe it's time.....they say once the populace discovers their access to the public treasury it's only a matter of time until the end....
ReplyDeleteLast time Paul Ryan proved he is a worthless POS, now sits on Fox Board of Directors.
DeleteNever forget that
You think there will ever be fair/accurate elections again?
ReplyDeleteAfter the party of chaos has been running things all this time?
What are you smoking?
The only way things will change is with massive bloodletting.
