Cops pull over 84-year-old man only to discover he’s driven without a license for 72 years

It turns out you can outrun the law, but only for 72 years.

Police pulled over an 84-year-old driver in Bulwell, U.K., this week only to discover he didn’t have a valid license … ever.

    1. "And they want to bring/expand it here."

Secretary Buttplug says he is going to do just that.

  4. Was at a local gun store some years back. He'd been to court for a traffic ticket and shared what happened in court that day.
A fellow had been working on Ft Riley tearing down an old barracks. After loading two farm trucks with lumber he and his helper headed back to Clay Center. On the way he got a flat tire. He sent his helper to retrieve the spare tire from the farm along with a jack and other tools.
While he was waiting, a state trooper stopped to check on him. The trooper asked for a driver's license and the farmer informed him he didn't have one. The trooper arrested him for driving without a license and took him straight to court for arraignment.
Upon entering the court room, the old man who was close to 100 told the judge that he best educate that trooper or he was about to get an ass whooping like he used to get as a teenager.
The judge directed that the farmer be set free then informed the trooper that since the farmer had been driving before licensing was implemented, he was exempt. He also said he had no doubt that the only reason the trooper wasn't on his way to the ER was because he was armed and dared him to remove his weapon.
I later heard a slightly different version from the judges daughter. He'd actually gotten his ass beat by the farmer on several occasions as a kid and remembered it well. Might say he set him on the straight and narrow.

  5. Operating without proper documents. Sounds a lot like their old neighbor Germany to me.

  7. Knew an of fella, came back from the war and wanted to be left alone. He decided riding a motorcycle was a loophole from needing any license, so he made the 20 mile trip to town and back on an old bike with his wife on the back. She didn't really like riding, especialy in the winter so he bought an old station wagon. Still didn't like the license idea so he decided that riding o the berm was legal with out any license. Cops knew him and just left him alone. When I met him he was about 80 and just riding a bicycle locally, would get a ride to town.

  8. "spotted by a traffic camera that’s part of an expanding network, which identified it as being operated without proper documents."

Isn't THAT just dandy. Cops and prosecutors are letting tech do their job for them so that they can spend more time letting the real criminals back on the streets with charges dropped or no bail.

Time get another paint ball shooter.
