#8. Everybody cutting a tree: The tree is X tractors or pickups long. That means I need to park at least X+2 from the tree. My father never dropped a tree in the wrong direction. There was that and, "When it starts to go, walk in the opposite direction. Don't run. You might trip and fall." And, "Never stand behind a tree that is falling. The kickback can hurt you."
Ya wanna have nice stuff? Ya wanna have a women? Anticipate repairs some major. That gate had to cost some bucks. Yeah the car too but it's a piece a shit. I don't do cars.
#3 Brazil. I’ve raced dirt bikes there and those inline cattle guards are diabolical. Most are made from worn out railroad tracks. You just close your eyes and pin the throttle and hope you make it.
#9) As a kid we had our local "Suicide Hill" to get hurt on... LOL.... AH, Good Times.... ;-))
ReplyDeleteAnd we had no idea what a helmet was...........

ReplyDeleteI was taught to go 90* away from the falling tree- never been hit in almost 30 years of cutting. And yes, walk away on a prepared path.
Delete$25 tree creates $50 tractor. They sure know how to make foot bridges though.

#8-what did he think was going to happen?
ReplyDelete#8 shows an impressive level of stupidity.
ReplyDelete9 was great. 6, well, how helpless can someone be? It was probably just a rat, or monkey-meat sandwich anyway.
ReplyDelete#8 - when you're pulling down a tree, you should be pulling at a right angle (via pulley) to the direction of the drop.
ReplyDelete# 2 Just HAD to hurry.
ReplyDelete#1, you know, interesting nautical fact, when you pull on those ropes, the boat gets closer...
ReplyDelete#3 in my area that's where the snakes are.
ReplyDeleteAll of them - just when I start thinking there's hope for humanity.....

ReplyDelete#6 Can't tell if that's a raven or not. When I was stationed in Japan in the late 80s I saw some huge ravens in Yokosuka.
