Do face masks help prevent COVID-19 infection? Two years into the pandemic, many still reject the use of mask-wearing to stop virus’ spread – despite myriad scientific studies and recommendations from health officials. On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says it has new real-world evidence that masks work.

I'm over 55, have not received any Chicom flu shots (or regular flu shots for that matter), don't wear face diapers and don't give a shit about "social distancing." I haven't had the Chicom flu (or regular flu for that matter). According to the so-called experts, I should be dead. The CDC can kiss my ass.

If masks and lock downs work, how is it that the virus spread during the initial outbreak in early 2020, continued at a moderate level until the virus mutated, then spread like wildfire again during the D variant surge last summer, then again in late fall/winter during the OMG variant surge, when at various points during every one of those surges, masks mandates were in effect in many public buildings?
Then there's the story of Florida and Texas, neither of whom had mask or lock down mandates, where infection rates were much less than in states where masks and lock downs were de rigueur.
This latest "study" is bullshit. It fits the "Covid narrative" so it gets published while other "studies" that debunk the efficacy of masks get quashed.
Anyone that believes anything that comes out of the mainstream medical community these days is foolish beyond words.
Fraudci saw to that with his continuing reversals and outright lies.

Now have them define 'work'. The spaces between the fibers in the typical mask won't stop a virus particle unless its in a gob of mucous. They also only work if they're completed sealed at the edges. They also don't work if they're worn as mouth covers (are people so stupid that they don't understand that their nose is used to breathe).

I thought they just decided most cloth masks were useless, and that only N95 masks or masks with higher efficiencies were needed?

If somebody wants to wear a mask, that's fine by me. If I'm sick and hacking and coughing and going around people I care about, a mask might OK.

ReplyDeleteThe face diaper would be more effective at stopping the spread if they were made from glad garbage bags or maybe zip lock freezer bags. If everyone would just put the new and improved mask (plastic bag) over their head while outside the shower, the pandemic would end in a day. Just saying.

ReplyDeleteWorked in medicine for 26 years and only n95 masks were considered effective against viruses. We were required to be fitted for n95 to work in ICUs yearly. N95 are effective only if fitted, paper masks were not held to be effective.

It provides a valid indicator of just how conditioned, gullible, and passive is the population they seek to dominate.
I read the study, and I'm willing to take their results at face value: That the masks lower the chance of infection by the percentages they claim as a 1-time event.
ReplyDeleteThe problem I see with the study is that the "exposure window" is 14 days. But life does not give you a 14 day window to get sick and then you're home free forever. You get a new 14 day window every day, overlapping with the previous 14 day window. You have 365 two-week windows each year. So yes, I'll concede masks work, but they will fail if you go out enough. That's why the mask mandates don't work, because you have to go out for something again and again. Eventually, the mask fails to work just one time. And now you're sick.
Maybe this would be comparable to throwing a pair of dice. For each throw, you have 1/36 chance of rolling snake-eyes. But if you roll them enough times, you will get snake-eyes at least once.
Personally, I don't go to casinos, so I'm guessing at this. My guess is that craps players play until:
a. They are broke
b. They decide they've lost enough
c. Their girlfriend wants to leave
But by not being a player, I WIN! I can honestly say that I have never, ever crapped out at the casino table, not even once in my entire life. But I probably will get Covid because I do go out.

look at the box . On the end of the mask box it says the masks provide NO Protection from viral contamination . I have to wear one at work and I wear it wrong most of the time. generally I have my snout sticking out so I can freaking breathe a little. paper masks are useless.
ReplyDeleteThey are lying again. I keep telling people, that those insisting on masks and fake vaccines are lying. There is no evidence that masks are useless except for what surgeons use them for. They do nothing to stop the spread of any disease.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who believes that a mask will keep a virus from infecting the person wearing the mask should try an experiment. Put on the mask and get anywhere near a person smoking a cigarette. If you smell smoke the mask did not work and you will smell cigarette smoke. How huge is a smoke particle compared to the micro micro virus? Masks do NOT PREVENT ANY VIRUS from passing through the filter, either egress or ingress.
