Now that's a true friend

An Australian man allegedly cut off another man’s leg with his own buzzsaw, and the victim — who later died – may have asked for the amputation as a gruesome favor.

  1. No different than a doctor who cuts off a man's penis because he asks him to.

    1. At least your best friend won't send you a bill afterwards.

    2. Yeah, I don’t believe a doctor leaves the patient on the side of the road to die.

    3. Yeah, the doctor will kill you right there in the hospital to make it all nice and legal. And still get paid for it. Ask any of the scores of dead people who got intubated on a ventilator and pumped full of remedesivr for covid the last 2 years.

      "Oh, but that's different!"

My friend Jerry gets a phone call in the night. Jerry I need your help. What do you need Sam?
Well my wife hit a deer, she crushed its back leg. She is screaming we have to save it.

Ok Sam, on the way, but what in the hell can we do?
    I have a plan Jerry.

Get there, deer is in shock, rolling eyes, bleeding, weakly trying to get up.

That deer is going to die Sam.

I know, but we have to try for Sandy.

    Ok whats the plan?

Cut deer leg off with circular saw, cauterise the would with acetylene torch, sew flap of skin over the wound. Save the deer.

No Sam, that deer is going to die. That is going to kill it for sure.

We have to try. I promised my wife I would try.

    Ok man. This is crazy.

Circular saw, deer bleeds out in seconds. Didn't even get to the cauterisation and sewing.

I mean his heart was in the right place, but damn.

  3. And they say American healthcare is bad... that or it's a nullification / amputation fetish gone wild.

  4. Why does every news article about a horrific crime include this kind of quote?: "During my 34 years as a police officer, I’ve never experienced a situation as we are presented with here." Can't we assume that it's not a normal occurrence.

  5. The perp wasn't actually Australian. He was a seasonal worker imported for farm work. His mate had chronic leg ulcers and had had never ending treatment that failed and had actually asked his doctor from an amputation but this was refused. So you can see the mind set of what actually happened. I had a ringer (cowboy) sent to me once who had injured his thumb and it had become useless and an impediment to his job riding horses. Was he in his right mind? He was going to cut it off with his working knife if they didn't help him. Pretty bloody obvious what should have been done - safe surgery. They didn't. Guess what happened next. WOuld have been a different story if it was something else he wanted chopped off. "yes sir, come right in".

  6. What's Australian slang for 'tourniquet'? Apparently they didn't know either.
