Now what if the girl had been White?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The person responsible for the racist graffiti found at C.K. McClatchy High School last week has been identified, the Sacramento City Unified School District announced Thursday.

Last Friday, someone wrote the words “White” and “Colored” over water fountains at McClatchy High, a reference to the Jim Crow era. The district’s race and equity monitor, Mark T. Harris, told CBS13 a Black female student confessed to the vandalism and cameras caught her in action.

Harris stopped short of calling it a racially motivated act.

  1. I'm surprised she could actually spell but then I may be jumping to a conclusion.

  2. Why, I'm so old I remember when the government required water fountains and rest rooms to be labeled that way If a White person had done it, it could have been a joke. No body has a sense of humor any more.

I vote for Lt. Exley's comment to win for the week.

  4. “There is no room for hate at Sac City Unified,” said Sac City Unified School Board Member Lisa Murawksi. “This racist graffiti is not a joke, it is not excusable, and it will not be tolerated. It is most insulting to our Black and African American students and community members but It degrades and insults our entire community and sends waves of harm, trauma, and disgust throughout the halls of C.K. McClatchy that should instead be full of laughter, learning, and connection. Whoever did this should be ashamed and should face consequences and disciplinary action to the fullest extent of law and policy.”

    But, but 10 days ago...
“We care deeply about the well-being of our students and staff who may have been impacted by this racist act,” Board President Pritchett added. “We are glad that the district is providing support for students and staff to help them deal with the trauma of experiencing racism at school.”

    1. Bet she doesn't face any discipline. They'll probably pat her on the back and tell her she was just reacting to the centuries of racism that kept her down.

    2. I left a message today how disgusting this was, and they should give her the same penalties and repercussions as they would if a white person had done the same. Suggested counseling, public apology, and other things. I also let them know I hope the citizens let them know how wrong this is as well.
Of course, the diversity person is a diversity hire.
Won't make any difference but got to try.

  5. Interesting how most racist "hate" crimes are committed by racist people of "color" that are used to drive the narrative. Since there are almost zero of these "hate" crimes, they need to manufacture outrage and it backfires.

Too bad they don't prosecute these racist fraudsters to the maximum extent of the law. They only seek to marginalize whitey as much as possible, and get a pass ever time.

  6. Again, it will be swept under the rug,

doubt the "person of color" will ever see any punishment!

  12. It's actually worse than that. Harris said it WASN'T a racist act BECAUSE the girl was black.

And you know who calls that
    Correct.

Gary, thanks for trying. These people are without shame, and will not be reasonable. It's occurred to me that arguing with someone who says a man today can be a woman tomorrow while they scream at me to
    Follow the Science
    might not be reasonable.

  14. I (as a white) was debating on doing one of these hate crimes myself, but every time I tried a minority would beat me to it. Just so frustrating getting the timing right!
