The remains of a Korean War veteran from Texas who disappeared more than 70 years ago are being returned to the state for burial after being positively identified.
The remains of Army Cpl. Marvin D. Actkinson, who was 18 when he disappeared in 1950, were identified in 2021 by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

Lo, There do I see my Father
ReplyDeleteLo, There do I see my Mother and
My Brothers and my Sisters
Lo, There do I see the line of my people back to the beginning
Lo, They do call to me
They bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla
Where thine enemies have been vanquished
Where the brave shall live Forever
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice for those that have died the glorious death.
RIP
ReplyDeleteWelcome home soldier may you now rest in peace and blessings be poured upon your family.
ReplyDeleteI have watched one procession of these homecomings. It is a glorious thing to see and the respect shown. Do it once in your life you will never regret it.
From just up the road, in my county. Will look for updates in local news.
