Crime Time
Like a strange melody that keeps repeating in my ear are four letters, PTSD, an acronym for a psychiatric disorder that seems to afflict most criminals in America. I suppose some shrink invented it, then ambulance-chasing lawyers picked it up; finally the criminals themselves have discovered it. It is the quickest get-out-of-jail scheme since article 1 section 9 of the Constitution, Habeas Corpus.

Always pissed me of that civilians started the ptsd shit. I always thought it a combat related disorder. It seems it was first applied to Nam Vets. It's powerful. Then people in accidents or stubbed their toe in the night were saying they had ptsd. I think with the combat Vet it should be post traumatic stress phenomena. That being because the event happens over and over a set of behaviors occur. These behavior keep the Vet from going crazy. An analogy, If ya get in a car wreck and it's that traumatic don't get in a car again. You have a choice. Never heard of a Vet going to his Sgt. and say, Gee Sarge that fire fight really was scary and stressful. I just can't do it again. In essence the Vet gets back in the car and wrecks over and over again. At any rate, pisses me off when civilians cop the ptsd shit. Yes, I think there are legitimate cases but a fuckin fender bender? Gimme a break.
