The thing to understand about New Orleans is that it’s not a very big city. There are, according to the 2020 census, 383,997 people in the city proper. New Orleans is not New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia – places where five murders in one day are somewhat tolerable.
Five murders in one day, when they’re separate incidents and not all stemming from one gang battle, for example, is evidence of a lawless, out-of-control city.
And that’s what New Orleans is.

If you want to give Louisiana an enema, New Orleans is where the hose goes in.
ReplyDeleteThe don't make a hose that big.....
DeleteHey, I tried.
DeleteThe hose is called the Mississippi. Which tried in 2004...
DeleteI've called on several industrial businesses in NO over the last 40 years. All of them have one or both of chain link fences topped with barbed wire and in only one case barred windows/doors as the only security. Although I didn't spend any more time than necessary in NO proper, the outlying areas were decent enough. Food was outstanding.
ReplyDeleteIt comes down to one word - Black.
ReplyDeleteCongo on the Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteThat would be Bugalusa.
DeleteNow Robert, don't be a' talking that way about Bogalusa. The sweet smell of the paper mill covers lots of sins.
DeleteBesides, Nawlins is small. (most is Metairie, Kenner, etc - which AIN'T Nawlins) I'd wager Memphis gives it a run for its money per capita wise for the Congo title.
Only spent one night in New Orleans and that was enough. Never will go back; don't recommend visiting.
ReplyDeleteI believe it is referred to as culling. Chicongo has been doing it for some time, now. - DTW
ReplyDeleteAnother black shithole
ReplyDeleteTime to shut off the pumps, break down the levees, and let the bog wash away.
ReplyDeleteStopped there for a little vaca on the way back from an install in Orlando. 5 minutes there and a black guy running from 4 or 5 cops is caught right in front of us. They beat the fuck out of this guy with night sticks and their feet. We left.
ReplyDeleteWe had offices in NO. One trip, my boss and I were walking from the hotel to the main building (one block, actually) and it was the week before Mardi Gras; the streets were lined with temporary grandstands. We came upon a guy too lightly dressed for the weather. His eyes were rolled back up in his head. I suggested that we call the cops; my boss took a close look and said something like: "He's not breathing; not our problem." We went about our day. Never heard the result.
ReplyDeleteNever told that story to anyone before.
We don't have a race problem.
ReplyDeleteWe have a problem race.
