Special Privileges for Special People

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- According to several media reports, on March 3 California Assemblyman Jim Cooper (D-09) was traveling through a security checkpoint at Sacramento International Airport when the Transportation Security Administration found a loaded gun in his baggage. The Sacramento Bee reported that the firearm was detected by an X-ray screening machine in what was described by Cooper’s Capitol Office as a “male messenger bag which looks like a purse.”

  2. Tomorrow I head to airport for a landing and take my gun with me. As 100% every time for several decades it is in hardcase, unloaded, locked and correct. Every time. I know where my gun is and am responsible with it. How in the HELL does someone say "I forgot" trying to go through TSA is a mystery beyond me.

  3. Jim Cooper is a double-dipping $318,000 a year clown who is looking to increase his pension by being elected sheriff of the department he retired from now that he's being termed out as an assemblyman. In his eight years under the Golden Dome he never saw a gun law he didn't like, so long as it was exempt to current and retired law enforcement people.

He's the perfect example of an Only One and I hope he's soundly beaten in his run for sheriff. He would certainly reverse Sheriff Scott Jones' 'shall issue' stance on concealed carry permits.

  4. I'm usually annoyed to no good end by tsa marking and tagging my luggage as containing a firearm an requiring I use a lock that is worthless.
I'm always annoyed any time I go to Detroit unarmed, even if I am cloistered in the 'sterile womb' of their airport.
I got a bit miffed when I found out that my background and security check for my CC permit from the Arapahoe County Sheriff's office was of much better quality than the one's given TSA employees.
its time the Patriot Act went away. NOW

    1. I agree with your last statement entirely.
In the mwan time, withdraw your money from their economy - do not fly into or through their airport, drive or take a train instead of flying. By putting up with their nonsense, your are endorsing it. When you cast your vote, you are a participant in clown-world. Remove your consent, do not play the game.

  5. A “male messenger bag which looks like a purse” is in reality...wait for it...a PURSE. It's just not a ladies purse.

I carry around a leather toiletries bag with odds and ends of things I need or may need in it. Whenever someone tries to be funny and asks about my "murse" or "man purse", and inevitably "someone" will, I retort that it's a *purse*, a bag for carrying personal items, something men and women carried before pants pockets were invented.
