Now, hatred is by far
The longest pleasure;
Men love in haste
But they detest at leisure.”
— Lord Byron (1788-1824)
The case against them in the federal courtroom was not for murder. Murder of a private person by another private person is not a federal crime. The trial was for violating Arbery’s civil rights while animated by hateful thoughts.

Almost a month old, but still a good piece.
Being only a layman, I also think this is Double Jeopardy, but I wish he hadn't bought the whole, "Shot in the back while jogging" story. The defendants had answers to these. I haven't read anything or heard from the judge in quite some time but I remember that he had descended into insane Libertarianism quite a while ago. Not that this is a case in point.
ReplyDeleteYah, Napolitano is so full of it regarding to initial trial I didn't bother to read further.
ReplyDeleteArbery got himself killed by being a stupid jogger and three decent enough dudes got railroaded.
The article starts out with this bullshit, FIRST SENTENCE!, "Arbery, a Black man, was chased through a white neighborhood while he was peacefully jogging and murdered by three white supremacists...
ReplyDeleteFirst why the fuck is black capitalized and white isn't? FUCK YOU
Second, he wasn't "peacefully jogging" he was running, trying to flee the scene where he had been seen, yet again, casing homes
Third, these men were not white supremacists(although I bet they are now)
Next, he wasn't murdered, he grabbed one man's weapon by the barrel in an attempt to gain control and was shot, that's not murder
Anyway, I quit reading the garbage. If they're going to lie 3x in the first half sentence, FUCK YOU.
Which gets back to one of my life's rules, when I start to see blacks "jogging" in front of my house, I am fucking out of there.
The bigger the government, the greater the oppression.
ReplyDeleteback in 2009-2010; we still lived in north Georgia. It had changed and not for the better with the influx of Katrina refugees from Nawlins and Houston. From leaving the keys in the truck all night, to locking everything all the time;and it wasn't from the influx of White people.
ReplyDeleteAfter church one Sunday morning in April of 2010; wife was making brunch, I was helping (read:"staying outta her way") and reading the Sunday 'Atlanta Journal-Constitution' (covers Dixie like the dew)...
Below the fold on page one, was an article titled "Atlanta - the Capital of the New Black South" (I shit you not). I got up, set the paper on the counter where she could see it; and told her we were moving. We moved west in early July, about 4 months after. I'm not particularly racist, but I can read...
