After telling police he had a “fix it” ticket for the window and his front license plate, Ornelas said a gun was pointed at his head and police conducted an illegal search.
*****
The gun was in his fucking trunk, and the cops use that to point a gun at his head?
Female cop. Nuff' said.
ReplyDeleteCops are scumbags period.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you realize the level of babble and bullsh*t Police Officers have to endure. And that is if the person doesn't mumble or bring up what their step-father told them two years ago. On the side of the road, being "unclear" will get you a close up view of the Officer's issue firearm. They expect "Granny" to blather. If a middle-aged or younger male blathers, the "Hinky" alarm goes off. Try talking like you have an IQ higher than room temperature and things will go a lot better.
ReplyDelete"Babble and bullshit" are not lethal threats. The cops here had no business even touching their pistols much less drawing them. If they don't like lip from a citizen, then they are more than welcome to find honest work where they are not robbing the taxpayers on a daily basis. It is well past time to disarm most cops. Citizens should be armed, not government employees.
DeleteI don't think you realize the level of babble and bullsh*t normal people have to endure when encountering entitled LEOs. FIFY.
DeleteWhat part of "Don't do anything stupid" do most of those brain stems not understand when there is a LEO interaction?
DeleteThe time for someone to play know nothing smart ass know it all "lawyer" is not when the cops have you pulled over.
Good cops and bad cops out there.
I guess that explains how my 8 months pregnant wife ended up with two guns pointed at her head after being pulled over for a dead headlight?
DeleteCops are bags of shit. Because bags if shit who are just looking for a legal way to bully people become cops.
Cops get a badge and a gun, and the legal authority to kill someone. Under certain circumstances.
DeleteBeing told someone's drives license is in the trunk, is not driving without a license, and the former sheriff's bullshit notwithstanding, there was no cause to escalate this to drawing a weapon on the driver.
Yes, he may have been mouthy - but that's not a reason to get ready to execute anyone.
Another episode of "We investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong."
ReplyDeleteDumb fuck. Driver license etc WITH YOU. That means up close and personal and within your reach. Mouth zipped. Nine times out of ten, down the road you go.
ReplyDeleteShe was so scared of a firearm in the trunk? I imagine she would have emptied her magazine into him as policy if the gun was in the car with him!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf she is that scared she needs to resign.
HAPPENED IN 2018 and the video was posted in 2019? Wow. Well, I didn't hear anything in the video about the handgun being in a backpack in the trunk, he said his driver's license was in the backpack in the trunk. When asked if he had a weapon in the car he said yes, then proceeded to say it was a legally registered S&W 40 cal. That's kind of a red flag guys. As for the pointed service pistol when he didn't comply, IDK, I'd have to see an unedited version of the vid. I've seen it happen either way. Bottom line, the guy should have complied w/o a bunch of questioning. Always handle any complaints afterwards folks, cases aren't tried on the side of the road.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah? We'll see about that soon enough.
DeleteOhio Guy
More times than not it's the cop who's the low-IQ cretin, but that's OK when you're equipped with a gun, uniform, badge & little else.
ReplyDeleteAren't "LEO's supposed to be trained NOT to escalate?
Hinky alarm? where was that when the cop shot the deaf guy because "He didn't follow my order"
Isn't EVERYONE entitled to be treated as innocent until PROVEN (not suspected) guilty?
I believe that's in that Constitution some people pretend to revere.
CC
And he wasn't driving without a license, it was in his backpack,in the trunk....
ReplyDeleteI've been pulled over by a batshit crazy cop. She was upset that I slowed down "right in front of her" (the speedlimit went from 45 to 25). I should have called for her watch commander to hear the idiocy she was spewing. I was very happy to hear she was killed by some gang bangers. She should never have been issued a badge and a gun.
ReplyDeleteI have met some great cops who want to actively help people and some of them have been abused by the public.
But the long and short of it is, if the cops aren't willing to weed out the bad apples, and they should know who they are, I'm willing to tar and feather all of them with the same broad brush. Either clean up your own ranks and stop being power crazed idiots, or quit.
