BARTOW, Fla. (WFLA) — An employee with Polk County’s North Central Landfill died Friday evening after he was crushed by a bulldozer while inside of a porta-potty, according to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
A county spokeswoman told 8 On Your Side deputies were called to the landfill Friday shortly after 5 p.m. as the workers were getting ready to shut down the facility.

I wonder if his last thought was, Shit!
ReplyDeleteAnd he did.
DeleteWent out to NTC with 3rd Cav back in the late 80's. They used to think it was great fun to crush those things with tanks, PC's, HEMTT's etc. Taking a dump could cost you...
ReplyDeleteTo this day, I flinch when I hear something like that crank up.
Porta-potty?!?!? All we ever got was the sleeve off the MRE box and a prayer. Of course it wasn't needed much after eating the John Wayne bars from said MREs
DeleteFirst year Fort Hood put up porta potties in field locations and mandated no digging latrines, my thought was: Leadership here does realize there are two armored divisions running around, right? Tank drivers don't like seeing anything standing upright.
