Davidson County has 16th highest gun-related deaths in US, study finds

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – As violence continues to grow across the country, one study ranked Davidson County as one of the worst metros in the nation for deadly shootings. The study from BackgroundChecks.com found that Davidson County has the 16th highest gun-related deaths when it comes to midsize metros.

One group believes Tennessee’s gun laws, including its open carry law, are only contributing to the problem.

“We passed that bill and it was signed in 2021 and that’s after we had already seen a rise in gun violence and deaths in our state,” said Carol Buckley Frazier with Moms Demand Action.

Does this idiot really think that the people committing these crime started carrying guns only after the permitless carry law went into effect? Seriously?
I'm seeing more and more guns being carried around town, probably because the weather's warming up and people aren't wearing coats, but Macon County hasn't seen a single shooting death since the law went into effect. Not one.

  1. I think we can guess why this is. Or rather WHO the problem is.

  3. A lot like that other troublesome patch in Tennessee known as "Memphis."

  4. It is par for the course with these people. Everything is an inversion exercise. Censoring people for freedom of speech. Giving people money does not equal universal basic INCOME, its someone elses money, for free, thats not the same as income.... but invert the meaning of the word and repeat it often enough, or so it seems to go.
