Now, will they be able to claim them as dependents on their taxes?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A bill in Tennessee that aims to hold drunk drivers accountable by requiring DUI offenders to pay child support if their actions resulted in the death of a parent has passed unanimously in the state legislature.

  1. In certain instances this could be justified. But it will likely end up, too often, being someone who had three beers, with a redicously low .08 BAC, who has to pay for JaMal or Reggie's eight kids from five different mothers who had never previously received a nickel from JaMal or Reggie. I think it's a bad law.

    1. And suppose it's JaMal's daddy, who took off for a pack of Newports when JaMal was 4 months old, and don't support JaMal, that did the killing of a white boys daddy. You reckon JaMal's daddy will support that white boy?

  2. Are they going to let them out of jail and drive to work so they can pay child support? I'm confused. Or are all drunk drivers rich baby daddy's?

  3. Ya, the "new and improved" comment boxes are intuitive as hell. Used to be you clicked in the box to type. Now you click on the line that says "Comment". WTF are these animals at G thinking. Like Firefox adding white space between lists of web site links contained in folders on the tool bar a couple months back because, you know, programmers got nothing better to do to "improve" the UI presentation on the screen.

When TF are these people going to understand that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" cause you'll likely f*ck it up.

At least they made the "Publish" button bigger, said no one, EVER.

  4. More evidence the financial system is breaking down. Governments looking for money any way they can get it. This will continue and accelerate as the economy collapses.

  5. I paid over 137,000$ in child support, as a blue collar working man, for 3 kids. I did not get to claim my kids on my income tax. The court said that the custodial parent got to claim them on their taxes. My ex let me claim them 2 years, until she remarried, then, of course, she had a spouse with income, and they needed the tax breaks, and my days of claiming my kids were over.
