Last week the Taliban Interior Ministry in Kabul announced that they had arrested a man in Afghanistan who was in the process of selling something called the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) to Iran. Apparently, the Taliban wanted the JLENS for themselves so they seized the system and locked up the seller.

ReplyDeleteFuuuuuuuuck... those things were all over Iraq, and the ground based control trailer? You needed a Nosebleed level clearance to go inside. I know b/c I was told flat out my paltry TS wasn't enough when I went to meet a guy for some biddness on VBC at one of the trailers. Believe it or not, those were what caught a lot of those man-goat-love vidyas on the Night Vision that were oh so funny and yet highly disturbing...

This is all so "the other guys" have the same military tech as the US, which will require new toys, new spending programs, new technology to defeat our own stuff. All OK, all guilt free, cuz "we didn't know the Affie gummint would collapse so quickly." Or some such rot.
