#1 I've done that to hornet nests. (At night so they can't do shit about it except fry.) #4 I WANT THAT! #6 I thought the turtle was going to hump the shoe, not try to bite it. #7 IIRC, the falling cat rescue was at Citi Stadium (Mets) last year.
I worked at the same place for over 35 years. I also have nightmares about doing some of the worst jobs there. I was a worker in a steel melting facility, where we made metal for the investment cast industry, for different specs, to make just about any metal product you could imagine. I learned to love the heat, and hate the winter. The temp on the melt shop floor was often 150 degrees F. After an explosion and a death, we were finally made to wear the silver suits, etc. So while were were protected, we were made even hotter, with us having to keep a closer eye on each other to avoid heat stroke. I know, you can't understand how the company didn't make us wear better protective gear from the get go. Looking back, it is a very good question, but wearing the heavy aluminized suits, in such high ambient heat, you would understand very quickly why no one would want to wear it.
pigeon I worked in a steel mill. texas summers are already hot enough. we had a card that we would swipe at any of the water or popsicle dispensing machines around the shop floor. if we failed to scan for 2 hours or had less than 8 per shift management would get on our case. its amazing how quickly you can get dehydrated.
