Commentary: McConnell’s ‘Exhilarating’ Insurrection

A dirty little secret about January 6—one of many—is that Democrats and establishment Republicans, not Trump supporters, wanted to shut down the official proceedings of that day.

Just as the first wave of protesters breached the building shortly after 2 p.m., congressional Republicans were poised to present evidence of rampant voting fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Ten incumbent and four newly-elected Republican senators planned to work with their House colleagues to demand the formation of an audit commission to investigate election “irregularities” in the 2020 election. Absent an audit, the group of senators, including Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) pledged to reject the Electoral College results from the disputed states.

  1. I would love to see McConnell walk the plank before I start pushing up the daisies. But at 83, I may not have the pleasure.

  2. Drowning is too easy for the piece of shit. I might have dreamed for him the rack, slow skinned and gutted while still alive. Drawn and Cut up into 12 pieces to hang on lamp posts as you drive up Pennsylvania Ave. along with rest of the crew currently destroying the country.

  4. While I don't like McConnel either, let's look at alternative history. He goes along with the others and ultimately keeps Trump in the White House. The Democrats go yet crazier on Trump limiting his presidency yet again. On the other hand, Biden has had the anti King Midis touch, everything that he does turns to sh*t. If we survive Biden, the Dems will have been destroyed for a long time by virtue of their openness of their crazy leadership. Happy days will be here for a long time once again.

    1. If?

That's a mighty big gamble for the rest of us by somebody who's set for life even without his govt. pension.

  5. The DemonRats have not yet done all the damage they intend for this nation. It will get much worse.
And, just as the Xiden campaign could not be seen as a legitimate effort to win voters, the present actions of the DemonRats do not seem to be consistent with the panic the public opposition to their policies, unConstitutional actions, and criminal overreaches should engender.
I suspect they plan to steal the 2022 and 2024 elections as well, and count on the food shortages and "emergency declarations" to suppress resistance.
There will come a point where one or many ordinary citizens just say "no more" and the sh*t will well and truly hit the fan.
Most Americans hope that this will not happen, as the Chinese, the Russians, the WEF, and other malign actors are waiting for us to be distracted domestically to try to remold the world to their liking.
    It's gonna hurt. Be ready.

    2. So...are you trying to say that repubs are better than dems and voting might actually matter? Just curious.
